Don’t Shred On Me: ‘Open Carry Guitar’ Rallies In Dallas Against Open Carry Gun Nuts

Hundreds of guitar-toting Texans gathered at a bridge in downtown Dallas on Sunday to deliver a message that the streets would be a lot safer if people packed musical instruments instead of firearms. Many of them are gun owners, but the organizer, Kyle Reynolds, 46, explains, “They just think the open carry thing is crazy.”

.....

The Republican-dominated legislature is poised to make it easier to take firearms to more places, allowing for the open carry of handguns. In addition, they are trying to force businesses to post a warning sign if they do not want firearms in their establishments. The problem with that is that Texas business owners must post one at every entrance if they don’t want their customers carrying guns on their premises. The ‘no guns’ signs are akin to the size of a 5-year-old.

If the owner doesn’t want anyone to Open Carry, they will need an additional sign for that, too, when OC passes.

The Open Carry gun humpers are trying to make it problematic for business owners who do not want firearms on their property.

I saw last week that Norman Oklahoma had a music festival and when they tried to ban gun-humpers from humping their guns they were told they could not ban them.

My thought at the time was I would never bring a guitar to a gun range so why can't you gun-humpers leave your guns at home while folks enjoy music.
