GEORGETOWN — A judge is planning contempt of court proceedings against Williamson County District Attorney Jana Duty for allegedly violating a gag order about a case, according to an affidavit filed by a prosecutor.

The affidavit followed a Friday hearing in which District Judge Rick Kennon said he would start contempt of court proceedings against Duty. No such complaint had been filed with the Third Administrative Judicial District as of Monday afternoon. Kennon did not return calls Monday asking if and when he planned to file one.

Several weeks ago, Kennon told attorneys involved in the capital murder case against Crispin Harmel not to talk to reporters.
