Joe Barton has a serious challenger in District 6.

Brianna Hinojosa-Flores looks like a real contender. Barton has serious primary challengers so even the Rs aren't that happy with him and Act Blue rates the race as Jalapeno Popper hot. If you look at Opensecrets.org she has raised $16k, almost all from contributors. OS shows Alameel as running in CD6, but he's actually in CD33 and his $2mil is all self financed.

The last viable candidate was David Harris in 2006 who took 36% with a total campaign of $26k and no support from county or state parties.
