Person being questioned in Houston about Travis County Judge Kocurek’s shooting
Authorities in Houston are questioning a person in connection with Friday’s shooting of State District Judge Julie Kocurek, sources said.
The person is being detained on unrelated warrants, the sources said.
Austin police said Monday night that it is aware of the arrest in Houston of a person of interest in Kocurek’s shooting, but declined to comment any further citing the ongoing investigation.
Kocurek was returning to her home in Tarrytown from a high school football game Friday night when the attack occurred.
