Court shoots down widow of infamous Houston hand surgeon Michael Brown

A federal appeals court on Tuesday rejected the pleas of disgraced Houston doctor Michael Brown's widow, who sought a half million dollar compensation for being evicted from his posh Memorial-area mansion.

Even though they were separated when her celebrity surgeon husband filed for bankruptcy then killed himself in Florida, Rachel Brown wanted payment for being forced to move from Michael Brown's foreclosed-upon home, where she enjoyed his luxury car collection and wait staff.

It's another surreal chapter in the years-long drama that saw a familiar friendly face in the Bayou City befallen by crippling scandal and tragedy.

Houstonians knew Michael Brown from his wholesome 1990s TV ads featuring family values and happy children in promotion of his private practice.

there was the drugs which overtook a medical practice and lead to many problems.
