Tim Kaine returning to Austin for 2 fundraisers
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine will be in Austin on Sept. 23 for two fundraisers, his second visit to the Texas capital since early August.
The first afternoon reception — times have not yet been set — will be in the Austin home of Bonnie Mills, where tickets will cost $50,000, $25,000 or $10,000, according to the campaign of presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Tickets to the second reception, at a location not yet determined, range from $2,700 to $500, according to an email invitation from state Sen. Kirk Watson, D-Austin.
Kaine, a U.S. senator from Virginia, was in Austin for a fundraiser on Aug. 9, where he also addressed Democratic campaign volunteers and stopped at Chapala Restaurant on East Cesar Chavez Street.
