Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller Yelps his steak complaint
But a couple of reviews down on the Yelp page was one posted Sunday by one Sid M. of Stephenville. He was not impressed. And yes, Sid M. is Sid Miller, our beloved Texas agriculture commissioner. Miller got into a war of words with OHMS Café after expressing his displeasure with a steak he ate there last Wednesday.
A Miller aide confirmed Monday that Sid M. of Yelp is Sid Miller of the Texas Department of Agriculture.
Miller had left a note, on the back of his business card, at the restaurant that said, “Terrible steak, not a rib eye. More like prime rib which I hate.”
Maybe he’s more of a secondary rib kind of guy. Regardless, Miller said he paid the $34 tab, which, since he didn’t eat the steak, wound up being for mac and cheese.
OHMS Café was closed Monday, but manager Josh Fuller told Amarillo reporters last week that Miller declined an offer of a different meal. And that was the end of the story. Until Sunday.
