Drunk Texas mother passes out in movie theater while 4 kids roam building
A Leander woman was arrested at a Cedar Park movie theater Saturday after police say she drunkenly “passed out” there while four children in her care roamed the theater, court documents show.
Kaylan Megan Walker, 36, faces a state jail felony charge of abandoning or endangering a child with criminal negligence.
Walker allegedly fell asleep while under the influence of alcohol at the Cinemark located at 1335 E. Whitestone Blvd., where her 4-year-old daughter walked out of the theater and up to an employee and said her mom was “sleeping” in the theater, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by mySA.com.
The employee went inside the theater and found Walker asleep on the stairs. The 4-year-old said she was “worried about her driving home,” the affidavit said.
