Cy-Fair ISD administrators remove racist graffiti from high school bathroom

Administrators at Langham Creek High School have removed racist graffiti from a bathroom stall on the campus, Cy-Fair ISD said in a statement Thursday.

An anonymous student at the school shared photos of the derogatory images with KPRC, stating the drawings depicted a black person being lynched and a person in the KKK. The graffiti also used racial slurs, KPRC reported.

The district released the following statement:

"It is unfortunate that a few students made the poor decision of writing profane and derogatory comments inside a restroom stall at one of our campuses. The comments were removed immediately once it was brought to the attention of administrators. Our district, does not condone or tolerate any actions by students who engage in this type of behavior. The actions of these few students do not reflect the outstanding character of our entire student body."

Langham Creek High School was the site of another racist graffiti incident in June 2014, when four students were charged with felonies over racial slurs, obscenities and sexually explicit drawings that were scrawled on the school's cafeteria windows.
