Photo of 'angry' cat in Harvey floodwaters sparks memes, controversy



A photo of a cat swimming for dry ground in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey has sparked memes and some controversy on social media.

The image, captured by an LA Times photographer, shows an orange cat attempting to swim its way to safety after a nearby apartment building flooded.




As one Twitter user pointed out, this cat did not look happy.

2. The mockery disturbed me. That is a neutered feral (see ear tip). He was terrified.

I hope someone (the photographer) helped him get to safety.
