Harris DA Kim Ogg says Harvey damage will force her office to relocate

Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said her office, a massive agency with 250 lawyers and hundreds of support staff, will be relocated from the downtown Criminal Justice Center at 1201 Franklin because of water damage from Tropical Storm Harvey.

She said early estimates show the move could last three months to a year. Prosecutors would commute from their new offices to the courthouse.

Employees of the office received notices Tuesday to come to the building and retrieve personal items.
