in between all of the work and speeches. I'll try to keep this thread updated through the weekend with additional links as I see them in the media. I'm not able to contribute much beyond voting, but I hope that consolidating the coverage of the convention will be helpful for everyone.

It was a great convention http://www.bayareahouston.us/2018/06/recap-of-texas-democratic-convention.html

Overall this was a great convention with nearly 8000 delegates in an off year. Lots of new faces. The Convention Center is a great place with ample meeting rooms, although the Environment Caucus and Stop Gun Violence needed rooms twice the size. Their crowds were much larger than expected. The TDP staff should be thanked for a smooth convention. Food was convention food but there were good restaurants nearby. The music played during the session was upbeat and modern. Good choices! The opening videos were great especially Mike Collier's "I'm Mike Collier" and MJ Hegar's video, Doors, that has gone viral. The multimedia was well done. Audio, lighting, etc was all well done. There were fantastic speeches both days with many standing ovations. Delegates left energized.

I've heard him speak to education groups numerous times.

I never knew he could be so funny.

Beto was on fire!

I got to meet Mike at a couple of events and spoke at one event where he was also speaking. He is very bright and very funny in person. Mike is a great guy and would be a great Lt. Govenor

BTW, the line about the fake truck is really amusing. Patrick has been using a truck that he does not own in his commercials. That truck was on display at the Texas GOP Convention. Patrick under performed Abbott in the GOP primary after spending over $7 million against a candidate no one has heard of. This could be a fun race

Many people left early, but I sat there so I could hear all of the resolutions.

After about 5 resolutions, someone made a motion to adjourn the convention cuz too many people had gone home.

After some back and forth, the convention was adjourned.
