Counsel says there is progress in Reagor-Dykes bankruptcy case

Reagor-Dykes Auto Group is making progress to resolve pending customer and creditor issues, counsel announced in a bankruptcy court hearing Thursday afternoon.

Since an order allowing the Lubbock County Tax Assessor’s office to handle all vehicle registration and title transfers and waive the payment of unpaid sales-tax amounts was approved at the end of April, counsel said 94 consumer issues had been resolved.

Hundreds of Reagor-Dykes customers who purchased a vehicle pre-bankruptcy petition have had to consistently request temporary tags since August. Around 700 customers would benefit from the resolution with the tax assessor’s office, according to the most recent estimates.

Customers needing to go through this process are encouraged to email customerttl@reagordykes.com.
