Dallas County reports 302 coronavirus cases, 1 death
Dallas County reported 302 more coronavirus cases Sunday, along with another death related to COVID-19.
The Dallas man who died at a hospital was in his 50s and had underlying health problems, officials announced.
The new figures bring the countys totals to 14,232 cases and 284 deaths. Dallas County does not report the number of recoveries.
County Judge Clay Jenkins noted in a written statement that the latest numbers were a little lower than weve seen in the last few days, but remember that a lot of high-volume test sites do not test and/or report on the weekends, so well have to watch a few more days of numbers. Sunday and Monday numbers are frequently lower on new cases.
Sunday was the fifth day in a row with more than 300 new cases. The county averaged 300 cases last week, its highest seven-day average.
