Gov. Greg Abbott appears poised to ease coronavirus restrictions, citing a decline in hospitalizations across the state.
Since my last orders in July, Covid numbers have declined most importantly hospitalizations, he tweeted Monday evening. I hope to provide updates next week about next steps.
The governor did not provide additional information, and a spokesman for Abbott did not return requests for comment.

The tweet was in response to a complaint about restrictions on restaurants. In late June, Abbott rolled back occupancy limits for restaurants from 75% to 50% amid rising cases. At the same time, he shuttered bars.

(3,131 posts)We do stupid things to start it up again. Schools reopening hasnt spiked the cases fast enough so lets get rid of all the restrictions.
Its why politics sucks so much in this country. Too many cant remember what happened a month ago let alone a year or a decade ago. Its like living in a school of goldfish except goldfish actually have memories.
I heard its going to get cold somewhere so global warming must be a hoax too (sarcasm).
