In 2019, the estimated population for Loving County was 179.

(126,244 posts)2. The population figure that I posted in the OP is probably exaggerated
since the county is in the Permian Basin and there was a lot of oil activity there. During the 2010 census the population was 82.

Famed for the Goodnight-Loving Trail. And the fictional Lonesome Dove novel. I visited his grave in Weatherford.
