I got this really nice pamphlet from my TX state rep, Charlie Geren.

I thought I'd call and see if he could get some of the infrastructure money to fix the two miles of road between my little town and the 'main drag'. It's pretty bad and has literally shaken my car apart.

I first called the local office. The phone has been disconnected. I tried dialing two more times just to make sure I didn't fat-finger the number. Nope, disconnected. I called the Austin office and got an answering machine, "Thanks for calling, leave your name and number and we will call you back."

I think I'll call back, leave a message that says, "I have a few thousand $$ to put into politics and have a question."

Then when he calls back I can say that his response wasn't fast enough and I've already spent my political budget.

Good luck in your quest to get your road fixed! I suspect nothing will come of your appeal. n/t CaliforniaPeggy Nov 2021 #1
