The 15th congressional district was gerrymandered during the last legislative session and the incumbent Democratic representative, Vicente Gonzalez decided to run in the adjacent 34th CD instead. The 15th CD is considered a prime opportunity for Republicans to flip a seat in south Texas.
No information available on the recount for CD 28, but there were about 4 times the number of ballots in that race.
