Poll: President Trump's approval ratings down in Texas - KVUE

New polling from the Texas Politics Project at UT Austin shows President Donald Trump's approval ratings among Texans took a dip for the third straight time.

Trump has dipped into negative territory for the first time with a net favorable rating of -7. Gov. Abbott and Lt. Gov. Patrick also had negative favorable ratings. The poll also asked whether voters approve or disapprove of various issues handled in the last session of the Legislature.

I think that inflation is getting to many of the people in Texas. I haven't swung by the gas station since Trump bombed Iran, but the price of gas was up 45 cents a gallon since January 20. I'm also seeing prices increase at the grocery store with items jumping 25 to 50 cents. I have to make an effort to keep the bill under $100 these days and I'm limited by how much I can carry in my wheelchair.

4. The poll said Trump's favorable rating was 44% while his unfavorable rating was 51%.

There are at least a few GOP Congressman and state reps that are in closed districts that are rightfully concerned about how this will affect their prospects in the next election.
