Republicans in Texas are scrambling as TX Senate candidate James Talarico is polling higher than both incumbent John Cornyn and notorious Attorney General Ken Paxton. Yasmin Khan breaks it down on Rebel HQ.

2. I stopped at the point where she said there was voter suppression

in Dallas County and did not mention the similar suppression in Williamson County (where Talarico grew up). I hate videos anyway, so that was enough for me to turn it off.

It's great that he's polling high but I suspect that's largely because we haven't gotten through the run-off. The real test will be when the republicans have their candidate. If we still see high numbers for James, then we will be heading into fall in a good position. But as it is now, I expect a tough race. Talarico is an incredibly good candidate for us, but Texas is also Texas.
