Donnie “Dirtwoman” Corker, a legendary Richmond drag queen and one of the city’s most colorful characters, died Tuesday. He was 65.

Corker grew up in Oregon Hill. Over the years, he would turn up often at city events, becoming a familiar face to city politicians and journalists.

He was also involved in an annual charitable event called Ham-a-Ganza, which raised between $25,000 and $30,000 for the Central Virginia Food Bank in the last two decades.
