Rain over the weekend in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia set records and caused flooding and mudslides that blocked roads.

As of Sunday, Matthews said 10.31 inches of year to date rainfall makes this February the wettest on record in the Tri-Cities.
Though it had stopped raining in much of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia by Sunday, the National Weather Service Morristowns flood warning wont end until 2:45 p.m. Monday.
Dispatch with Bristol, Tennessee, and Bristol, Virginia, police departments said they had not received any serious calls related to flooding. Dave Vencill with the Bristol Tennessee Fire Department said on Saturday the department blocked off a section of Trammell Road that was flooded but was not aware of any other action the department took related to flooding.
