Old Redneck Virginia Kos After a 30yr Army career followed by 15 years of working for the Methodist Church and, later, Sprint Communications, I retired to a rural Virginia county that varies from 70-30 to 65-35 Republican. Because I am a long-time member of the County Electoral Board as well as being active in church, civic, and hobby organizations, I have close, frequent contact with a lot of Republicans. Many of my Republican friends are retired industry, military, and federal executives who moved here because of the Chesapeake Bay waterfront and slow pace of life. All have advanced degrees, many are published authors, they travel and read. In addition to these come-here Republicans, my friends also include a lot of born-here local, salt-of-the-earth rural folks. And almost to a person the born-here and come-here Republicans are howling-at-the-moon, tire-biting, tail-chasing insane. For example: In the early summer 2020, when Biden was emerging as the Democratic front-runner, every single Republican I talked with told me there was a secret Democratic cabal comprised of Pelosi-Clinton-AOC-Soros that would sabotage Biden and swing the nomination to Clinton. Didn't happen. And now this same crowd is spreading a similarly bizarre claim: After Biden has been in office for a couple of months, the same cabal will remove him from office under the 25th Amendment; replace Biden with the Socialist Kamala Harris; Harris will appoint Michelle Obama as VP; and the Socialist coup will be complete.
