The old sheriff in congressman Dav throws his hat in on the race for governor

https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/dave-reichert-considering-challenging-jay-inslee-for-governor/980994475

Dave Reichert, the former King County Sheriff and U.S. Rep. from the 8th District, is considering a run for governor, the state GOP said.
Reichert, who served in Congress from January 2005 to January 2019, would be a Republican challenger to Jay Inslee, a Democrat trying to be the state's first third-term governor since the 1970s.
Reichert was King County Sheriff from January 1997 until his swearing in to Congress. In September 2017, Reichert announced he would not seek reelection in 2018.

Clearly the old sheriff in congressman Dav does miss his glory days riding in a limo with G.W. Bush . And bush whacking bird lady bus driver, an act he saw as powerful. He even had his eye trained on the vice presidency ,but the bottom fell out of the that. Although he did get to see the fly over. And the plane landed in Alaska.

Who do they got to put up there? There is Rossi , they could run him on third try ,ha ha ! No, there are those that see the old sheriff as a sweet peach ready for picking. Oh well, it looks like the old sheriff in congressman Dav is back in the saddle. It remains to be seen how far he can ride.

Reichert once bragged he ratted out bus driver
By CHRIS MCGANN, P-I REPORTER Updated 9:00 pm PST, Friday, November 3, 2006

After a long, expensive campaign, Democratic congressional candidate Darcy Burner's eleventh-hour hopes of ousting Republican Rep. Dave Reichert may now float on the wings of a bird -- a bird flipped at President Bush by an Issaquah school bus driver.
At issue is the veracity of comments Reichert made at a Republican Party picnic Aug. 12. He said the driver raised her middle finger to Bush's motorcade as it passed by a bus full of children near the Woodland Park Zoo.
Reichert told supporters at the event that he had called the district to report the incident and gave the impression that he was responsible for getting the driver fired.

Dave Reichert Says No To Republican Gubernatorial Run

On Friday, state Republican party chair Caleb Heimlich said Reichert was considering a 2020 run. But in a statement on Tuesday, Reichert said he's comfortable in his current role as a lobbyist for Tacoma-based Gordon Thomas Honeywell Governmental Affairs.
"My wife, kids, and grandkids have made great sacrifices over my nearly five decades of public servanthood, and we are now able to enjoy much quality time with each other" the former King County Sheriff said in a statement. "I'm confident a quality Republican candidate will enter the race and I look forward to the first Republican serving as governor of this great state for the first time since John Spellman in 1985."
There are already two Republicans in the 2020 race. State Sen. Phil Fortunato, R-Bonney Lake, announced he would run in early August. Loren Culp, the I-1639-refusing police chief in Republic, is also running. Gov. Jay Inslee dropped out of the 2020 presidential race in August, confirming he would seek a third term.
Reichert decided not to run for reelection in 2018. Dino Rossi ran to replace him, but was defeated by Issaquah Democrat Kim Schrier.
