Pete Carroll: Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett 'should be fine,' won't miss games

RENTON — It doesn’t appear that Tyler Lockett will be missing any games.

Coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday that the Seahawks' No. 1 receiver, who suffered a lower leg contusion in Monday’s primetime victory over the San Francisco 49ers, “should be fine” moving forward and is expected to be able to play when the team returns from the bye week for its Nov. 24 clash against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Lockett, who spent Monday night in a hospital at Stanford University, will be staying in the Bay Area for another day for precautionary reasons.

“He’s better than he was yesterday,” Carroll explained. “Our people think he’s going to be fine to play. He’ll need the rest of this week to make sure everything goes away, but he should be fine to play the next week.”
