Seattle shooting suspects charged with murder, assaults

Two men suspected in the downtown Seattle shooting that left one woman dead and seven other people injured were formally charged on Wednesday in a Las Vegas court.

Marquise Tolbert and William Tolliver were each charged with first degree murder and six counts of assault in the first degree, according to court documents.

Tolbert is also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm in the first degree, bringing the total charges to eight. Tolliver is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree, also bringing the total charges to eight.

The King County Prosecutor’s Office says Tolbert and Tolliver are held on no bond. They have a tentative arraignment hearing scheduled for Feb. 19 at 8:30 a.m. in King County Court. They told a judge on Tuesday they will not contest extradition to Seattle.

can someone explain why a 24 yr old man with 20 convictions, including many felonies, and a 24 yr old with 15 convictions are still on the street?

They are both known members ... we're long past 'the cops are picking on me'!
That neighborhood and the general public are not safe while these guys are walking around.

From the newspaper: Tolbert and Tolliver are documented gang members and have extensive criminal histories. Tolliver, 24, has been arrested 44 times with 20 convictions, for offenses including unlawful possession of a firearm, theft, malicious mischief, and assault. Tolbert, 24, has been arrested 21 times with 15 convictions, including robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle, discharging a firearm in a public place, theft, and harassment.
