Longtime Seattle broadcaster Steve Raible announces retirement from KIRO 7
Steve Raible, the Seattle icon who turned an NFL career with the Seahawks into a successful broadcasting career, announced Wednesday evening that he will be retiring from KIRO 7.
Raible said that he’ll continue anchoring for the immediate future, but will officially leave the station sometime in the late spring. He explained that the decision was made so that he could spend more time with his wife, Sharon.
Raible will be maintaining his duties as the Seahawks’ play-by-play announcer.
“It is my time to let go of the trapeze,” Raible said Wednesday of his retirement from KIRO.
