Turning point? No major clashes between protesters, police on seventh day of protests

The last 24 hours have marked a turning point with no major clashes between protesters and police for the first time since the unrest began.

Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best released a directive Thursday night for officers to make their badge numbers visible while they wear a mourning badge to honor fallen law enforcement officers.

The directive said the mourning band should be placed horizontally above the star, so the badge number is not covered up.

It's one of the changes protesters have been demanding during their demonstrations over the last few days.
