$120K+ Raised For Man Shot Defending Protesters Sunday
SEATTLE, WA A GoFundMe campaign has been established to help pay the medical bills for Dan Gregory, who was shot defending other protesters from a gunman who attacked a demonstration Sunday evening.
The incident happened just before 8:30 p.m. in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Protesters had been demonstrating peacefully for hours near the intersection of 11th and Pine, when a car drove up behind the rally in an apparent attempt to hit bystanders.
Footage taken by Seattle Times reporters atop a nearby building show Dan Gregory approaching the car as it drives towards the crowd, and reaching inside the window. The driver then shoots Gregory in the arm.
This video taken right after the attack shows Gregory awake and alert, with an obvious wound to his arm. In the recording, he says he had punched the driver in an attempt to shop him, and the driver retaliated by shooting him.
