Hundreds join Seahawks wives' 'Bridge to the Future' march across I-90 span
MERCER ISLAND, Wash. - Tiffany Chancellor and Natalie Wright are at Aubrey Davis Park on Mercer Island because they want a safe future for their sons.
The first thing we thought about were our children, said Wright, whose husband is Seattle Seahawks linebacker KJ Wright. Our children are black children.
Its our job to make sure were doing what we can within our power to make some change, said Tiffany Chancellor, whose husband is Seahawk legend Kam Chancellor.
They had been seeing the demonstrations throughout Seattle and the country and felt called to action.
We just decided to make our own, Chancellor said.
That's what they did and by 2 p.m. Saturday, hundreds showed up on Mercer Island holding signs and listening to these two women seeking change here and throughout Washington.
