Man detained after allegedly setting 3 fires on Duck Island
SEATTLE -- A man has been detained after allegedly setting three fires on Green Lake's Duck Island Thursday evening.
Citizens on shore discovered the fires and used a small boat to head over to the island and begin to try to douse the flames. Seattle firefighters arrived a short time later via boat and completed extinguishing the fore using pump cans.
There were no injuries reported.
Seattle Police officers were able to take the man believed to be responsible into custody. He was spotted by a KOMO News crew being loaded into an ambulance but it's unclear why.
