EVERETT Snohomish County could be the first in the state to slip back to Phase 1 of the governors reopening plan after a concerning spike in new COVID-19 cases, Executive Dave Somers said Tuesday.
In the past week, the county has seen 42 new cases of the virus per 100,000 residents the highest its been since late April. To enter Phase 2, the benchmark was 25 cases per 100,000.
The county is currently out of compliance for three of five key factors to qualify for Phase 2. Increased activity and a lack of social distancing and mask-wearing are contributing to the spike, local leaders said. Under the governors Safe Start plan, both county officials and the state Secretary of Health can revert a county to a previous phase.
A week or so ago, I would have thought it was a remote possibility. I dont feel that way anymore, Somers told reporters Tuesday. Going back to Phase 1 is clearly one of the options that could be in front of us.

(1,726 posts)I have a appointment on July 16 for a badly needed haircut. I know that's selfish.

(7,584 posts)I wear a short haircut. My hair was growing long and making me a bit crazy because I hate long hair on my neck. SO......I washed and conditioner my hair and cut it myself. Not the most professional haircut but it solved my dilemma and made me darn proud of myself.
Edited for spelling error.

I am 70 and wearing a ponytail to keep it off my neck. I have naturally curly hair so it needs to be cut all over. Peace sister.

(7,584 posts)I also have naturally curly air....tried a ponytail but trying to brush out the tangles every morning did nothing to improve my disposition. I take care of myself......you should try and do the same.
