NCAA championship basketball games coming to Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena

Oak View Group and Climate Pledge Arena said Wednesday the arena has been selected to host multiple NCAA men's and women's college basketball championship games in 2023 and 2025.

Holding the events will help Seattle showcase Climate Pledge Arena, now under construction, to sports fans from all over the country and "solidify Seattle and Climate Pledge Arena as a premier location for NCAA championship events for decades to come,” the organizations said.

The arena was awarded the NCAA Division I women’s basketball regionals in 2023 and the men’s Division I basketball first and second rounds in 2025, Oakview said in a news release.

Oak View and Climate Pledge Arena officials said they won bids to host the games in partnership with the Seattle Sports Commission and partner colleges, including the University of Washington and Seattle University.
