This is the first heavy dose of snow and rain this season in our mountain passes.
Stevens Pass already saw several inches of October snow fall Friday.
People across Western Washington wondering what this early snow might mean for the rest of the season.
If you're heading up over Stevens Pass, be very careful.
Throughout the day, there were chain requirements Friday for Stevens Pass.
There were at least dozen incidents on Highway 2 along the pass, according to Washington State Patrol. They included crashes and vehicles blocking the road because people didnt abide by chain restrictions.

( you know you are old when driving in snow ceases to be fun)
