Seattle metro area tops list of best areas for STEM professionals
The Seattle metro area topped the list in a new study on the best areas for STEM professionals in 2021.
The study, from WalletHub, looked at the 100 largest metro area and compared them across 20 metrics, including percentage of the workforce in STEM, STEM employment growth, quality of engineering universities and annual median wage for STEM workers.
Seattle ranked high for having a large percentage of its workforce in STEM jobs and for having some of the highest quality engineering universities, according to the study.
Seattle was followed by Boston and Atlanta.
