Safeway, Albertsons pharmacies across Washington expected to start giving coronavirus vaccines
All Safeway and Albertsons pharmacies across Washington are expected to soon offer the coronavirus vaccine, the company announced this week.
Albertsons Companies is a part of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Partnership Program for COVID-19 Vaccination, and is expecting to get more doses of the vaccine so it can start offering the shots at all 170 of its community pharmacies across the state as early as Feb. 11. The company is now giving the vaccine at 32 pharmacies across the state.
Throughout the pandemic, the communities we serve have trusted our pharmacy teams to play a critical role in maintaining their health and wellness, said David Green, Director of Pharmacy for Safeway Albertsons. Our pharmacy teams are preparing to handle the unprecedented demand and administer the vaccine safely and efficiently as members of the public become eligible.
