Many in Western Washington woke up to several inches of snow in their yards and atop their cars Saturday, as a strong winter storm moved into the region Friday evening.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Seattle is currently predicting additional snow accumulations across the area today, with showers decreasing later in the day.
"Heavier snow will continue through the morning with an additional 3-6 inches possible across the area," wrote NWS in their Saturday morning briefing. "Snow will gradually taper from south to north across the region this afternoon."
"Another system moves through the region, bringing another round of lowland snow on Sunday morning and afternoon before transitioning to a mix and/or rain late," wrote NWS. "Accumulations of 1-2 inches possible, with additional travel impacts possible."

The snow wont stop us from vaccinating our most vulnerable! We swapped out to all wheel drive rigs, so our Mobile Vaccination Teams can make their way around the City. #heretoserve in rain, shine or snow ❄️

Washington State and it wasn't the worst place for weather that I know of. Don'tcha feel

We don't have to go anywhere for several days either. I feel like I ought to go run outside, but maybe I've finally become an old man after all because I'm perfectly content staying in.
