Weekend COVID vaccine appointments at Kent, Auburn sites to be rescheduled after shipment delays
Coronavirus vaccine appointments this weekend at King County's mass vaccination sites in Kent and Auburn will need to be rescheduled after winter weather caused delays in vaccine shipments to Washington.
Public Health Seattle & King County said people with appointments scheduled for after 4 p.m. Friday, and on Saturday and Monday need to reschedule their appointments. Those who had appointments should be receiving a call to find another time to get their vaccines.
"Severe winter storms across the nation have led to delays in vaccine shipments and this has impacted the vaccinations that are taking place here in Washington state and in King County, both those scheduled this week and into the weekend" said Jeff Duchin, of Public Health Seattle & King County, during a news briefing Friday.
"And we at Public Health and other providers are reaching out to reschedule appointments."
