Lawmaker's apology for wearing yellow star at Lacey event not enough for Anti-Defamation League

Washington State Rep. Jim Walsh said he’s sorry he wore a yellow Star of David while speaking to a conservative group last Saturday at a Lacey church.

“I don’t think it’s enough,” said Miri Cypers, regional director for the Anti-Defamation League.

Walsh, a Republican who represents Grays Harbor County, declined interview requests with KING 5 News, but in an interview with the Seattle Times, he said he was given the star by someone from the Washingtonians For Change organization.

Walsh spoke at the event at a Lacey Church and said the star was meant to symbolize some of the rights group members felt they lost in pandemic restrictions: shutdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine requirements.

They keep doing this. No sooner does one politician get their ass handed to them in public, they offer a "sincere apology." They didn't mean it the way it sounded, etc. Now 2 weeks later comes another one and thinks that star represents "loss of their rights rights" because they couldn't go around and infect as many people as they want or they feel they're getting pressured to get a vaccine which doesn't kill children but they think is going to kill them. Can someone take them and show them the stark pile of shoes from a trainload of Jews sent to a camp? That is reality, not someone in Washington state pinning on a yellow Star of David and saying "we are all Jews." Maybe if locally every time someone mentioned one of these idiots in public they were shamed for this it would stop, but it keeps happening.
