Wildfire prompts Level 3 evacuation for parts of Kittitas County
Officials issued a Level 3 evacuation order Friday afternoon for some residents of Kittitas County after a wildfire broke out along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 near milepost 78, authorities said.
No injuries have been reported so far but the evacuation order means residents should immediately depart the area because of the blaze.
Authorities said homes and businesses on Three Lakes and Little Ceek roads in the Leisure Lane development were at risk and were urged to evacuate immediately because of the wildfire.
Officials urged motorists in the area to be aware of possible road closures because of the wildfire.
