Temporary Lake Stevens Library to open this summer

LAKE STEVENS — The Lake Stevens Library, which was torn down in late June, soon will have a temporary home.

“We’re just excited to be able to get a new library open,” said Kurt Batdorf, Sno-Isle spokesperson.

The former police station at 2211 Grade Road is being renovated to serve as the temporary library starting late this summer.

The temporary location will have amenities the old space lacked, including a meeting room, private study room and children’s area.
