Washington State football coach Nick Rolovich is seeking a religious exemption after refusing to receive a COVID-19 vaccination, according to a report published Saturday morning.
Rolovichs application for a religious exemption will be reviewed by a blind committee, per a report from Jon Wilner of The Mercury News (San Jose). Committee members are not told who each applicant is.
Employees applying for exemptions must detail what beliefs prevent them from being vaccinated and explain why those are sincerely held.
Rolovichs religious ideologies have not been shared publicly, but he comes from a Catholic family background, and attended a Catholic high school in Northern California.
The Cougar fan base has been divided for the past couple of months, and debate online is frequent. WSUs program has received only one commitment from a prep player since Rolovichs announcement July 21.

(3,639 posts)So there goes that church; perhaps he needs to convert.
But not to Hinduism because he is involved in violent sport.
Perhaps Buddhism, but if he is that, he will already have given up warrior sports.
Sikhs are warriors' certainly brave enough to take a shot.
Scientology, Christian Science, Satanist, any of the many anti-sex sects.
Most likely he is a perfect fit for many of the protesting denominations.
As an antidisestablishmentarian, I suggest he join the Anti Descartes Church, where they chant, "I don't think, therefore thou aren't."

(258 posts)As far as I am concerned, he is not a role model for the players or the university. Now that Oct. 18th is approaching, all of a sudden he has discovered religion. I am currently watching the Cougars play Oregon State. The Cougars are behind, and we are at home today. Another loss along with Rolovich's vaccine stance, will probably be the final straw. I hope.
