Family of WSP Trooper who died of COVID issues statement on vaccination status

OLYMPIA, Wash – The family of a Washington State Patrol Trooper who died of COVID says he was not vaccinated when he contracted coronavirus on a work trip but clarify that his choice to not get the vaccine was "not a part of any anti-vaccine or political movement".

Trooper Eric Gunderson served the Patrol for nearly 16 years. He was a member of WSP's SWAT Team and his family says he was in peak physical condition, was active with his kids and at his job, and thought "COVID was something that happened to someone else."

He frequently traveled around the country to speak about the state patrol's use of drones and contracted COVID-19 on one of those trips, his family says.

Gunderson's family says his trip coincided with Gov. Jay Inslee's vaccine mandate for all state employees and they believe he would have gotten the vaccine.

It applies to cops, teachers, health care somers, etc How can you trust the judgment of people stupid enough to refuse the vaccine? I mean, in what other ways do they demonstrate their stupidity, lack of judgment, common sense, etc.

And what do they put on the headstone?

He died because he was an idiot.

He owned the liberals?

She didn’t give a damn about her family.

Husband, father, son, brother, moron.

He wasn’t immune.

She died a miserable, unnecessary death.

Not as smart as she thought she was.
