Nearly 80 miles of I-90 shut down at Snoqualmie Pass

NORTH BEND, Wash. - Nearly 80 miles of highway has been shut down as snow piles up in Western Washington.
Wash. DOT said it shut down I-90 at Snoqualmie Pass in both directions because it's nearly impossible to see. The snow has also caused the road. tobe difficult to drive on, even if you could see.
The highway is shut down at North Bend, at milepost 34 and extends to Ellensburg milepost 106. It's unknown how long the highway will be shut down.

I-90 closes for collision involving hazardous materials
NORTH BEND, Wash. - Nearly 80 miles of I-90 are shut down because of a collision involving hazardous materials.
The roadway is blocked from North Bend, at milepost 34 to Ellensburg milepost 106. There is no estimated time for reopening.
The Washington Department of Transportation says an SUV crashed into a tanker carrying sulfuric acid on I-90 near Cle Elum.
The Washington State Department of Ecology is en route.
