I-90 reopens eastbound, westbound still closed near Snoqualmie Pass due to collisions

Eastbound Interstate 90 near Snoqualmie Pass now is open at milepost 34 near North Bend after collisions closed both sides of the freeway on Saturday afternoon. The westbound side at milepost 106 near Ellensburg still has vehicles that need to be cleared before it can reopen, the Washington State Department of Transportation shared on Twitter.

Major traffic piled up on I-90 after both sides closed due to collisions Saturday, WSDOT shared earlier in the day.

The Washington State Patrol tells KING 5 that 10 tow trucks have been called in to assist with clearing the situations.

No timetable was given for a reopening on the westbound side.
