For more than two weeks, students at Seattle Pacific University have continued their protest against the universitys lifestyle policy.
That policy, which restricts teachers in same-sex relationships to work at the university, sparked an uproar among students.
Although its finals week at the university and students will either graduate or go off on summer break, students have vowed to continue their sit-in for as long as it takes.
Laur Lugos is days from graduation but she and other students are in for the long haul.

(6,008 posts)Over 80% of the faculty voted to oppose this action by, and express no confidence in, the board. Board members have no real current connection to the university. So this isn't an issue of students being not in alignment with the school, rather the distant and unaccountable board is not in alignment with the positions of the students, faculty, and staff of the university, the people who actually make up the university.
