Snoqualmie Valley farmers struggling after wet spring

This week’s round of heavy rain is the latest blow to farmers in the Snoqualmie Valley, who are struggling after a wet spring.

The growing season is supposed to be well underway, but farmers say they’ve been planting crops weeks late because the ground has been too wet.

Thursday’s rain brought some projections of floodwaters high enough to ruin crops, but as of Friday, the worst had not happened.

Some fields were flooded and a few roads were closed.
