Seattle Animal Shelter offering reduced adoption fees for the shelter's 50th anniversary
SEATTLE - The Seattle Animal Shelter is celebrating its 50th anniversary this weekend by offering 50% off adoption fees until June 25.
The shelter says it has many pets waiting to be adopted including 40 dogs, 20 cats, two dozen rabbits and guinea pigs, one pigeon, and one snake.
A 50th-anniversary open house will be held at the shelter on June 25 from 1 - 5 p.m. In addition to the 50% off adoption fees, the event will include tours of the shelter, refreshments, raffle prizes, and pet care information.
