South Park residents still dealing with the aftermath of flood last month

There are still a number of residents in South Park not able to return to their homes following devastating flooding a few weeks ago.

More than a dozen families were forced to leave their homes and move into hotels because of safety concerns.

One volunteer organization, Team Rubicon, has been stationed in the areas most affected by the flooding. On Monday, the organization packed up its things and demobilized the area.

Scott Coykendall, Incident Commander for Operation Duwamish Rising said when they first arrived they saw debris inside and outside people's homes as well as visible damage. Coykendall said their organization works to remove and help clean up for the residents impacted.
