Layoffs have a limited time of benefit (the biggest of which is stock prices so they can dump stock) ...

... savings are not the same as profits or making higher profits, it is a spiral downhill. Leads to more layoffs until a capital investment firm like Bane Capitol steps in, sells of assets, lays off even more and spins it off to go bankrupt later.

The question is can the leadership that brings a company to the mass layoffs point have the moxie to break the cycle?
